Dedicated to restoration of the American chestnut tree to its native range, this single-species conservation organization utilizes breeding, biotechnology, and bio-control to reintroduce historically one of the most ecologically and economically significant trees to the Appalachian forests.In this role, I managed all aspects of finance and human resources, including A/R, A/P, G/L maintenance, budgeting and reporting, internal and external audits, benefits administration, payroll and multi-state taxes, insurance and risk management and supported grants and fundraising.

Performed general and financial consulting and direct services for local businesses (non-profit and for-profit) including accounting, business transition, small business startup, property management, maintenance and repair, training, tax and other services. See a need: fill a need.

Pack Place Education, Arts & Science Center was a vibrant centerpiece of downtown Asheville and the keystone cultural facility in the Pack Square Cultural District. This bustling complex housed and provided essential services for the the Asheville Art Museum, Colburn Earth Science Museum (now Asheville Museum of Science) and Diana Wortham Theatre (now Wortham Center for the Performing Arts). We also Partnered with the YMI Cultural Center just a block away and formerly housed and provided services for The Health Adventure, a hands-on children's health museum. An Asheville landmark, Pack Place also offered meeting rooms and creative spaces for hosting special events and was the starting point for numerous walking and guided tours of Asheville.
