I am an infectious disease epidemiologist with a keen interest in antimicrobial resistance, zoonotic diseases, and vector-borne diseases. I recently graduated from the School of Public Health at the University of Minnesota where I earned an MPH in Epidemiology while minoring in Biostatistics. Currently, I work in the Zoonotic Diseases Unit at the Minnesota Department of Health. In my position at MDH, I conduct reportable disease surveillance through data collection, medical record abstraction, data entry, case interviews, and sample collection. Working in public health is my passion, and I hope to spend my career making a positive difference in the lives of others through rigorous scientific research, while promoting justice and equity for all. In the future I plan to pursue a PhD in either Environmental Health or Epidemiology where I can continue to build upon the skills and tools I have learned from my time as a Master's student.
