As the single point of contact between all Criminal Justice agencies referring into the city's drug and alcohol services, it is my responsibility to ensure that the new pathways are built and working well and all clients are offered a high level of support. MY DUTIES INCLUDE:Seeing all prison release clients within 24 hours. Ensure all clients given drug/alcohol court requirements as part of Probation order are accessing treatment. Presence in court and at all Probation offices on a regular basis. Hold the high risk cases personally (max of 40). Build and support pathway for female criminal justice clients in treatment. To issue and train clients with Nalaxone. Train probation and court staff on overdose awareness and safer injecting.

Working in a busy city centre team I was responsible for directly line managing 12 engagement and recovery coordinators. I was the health and safety officer, designated first aider, Motivational Interviewing implementation lead and safeguarding children lead for the city of Manchester. This role was demanding and requires a high level of energy and organisation. This was a secondment I was put forward for from my manager at the time. I ensured the smooth running of the service day to day from organising cover when staff are off sick, covering medical reviews and shared care clinics and liaising with other agencies to being first responder to medical emergencies on site. I attended monthly management meetings, safeguarding pathways and was part of a new service delivery model implementation whilst in this role.
