Executive Officer and Headquarters Platoon Leader in a deployed Forward Support Company responsible for providing multifunctional logistics support to a 550 person Armored Reconnaissance Squadron. Tasked with providing direct oversight and management of the Troop Command Supply Discipline and Command Maintenance Discipline Programs. Sub hand receipt holder for all Headquarters Platoon equipment, valued in excess of $5 million. Responsible for the training, welfare and duty performance of 5 Noncommissioned Officers assigned to the Headquarters Platoon. Serves as the OIC of the Troop Command Post and Squadron Field Feeding Section in a deployed tactical environment. Assumes command in the absence of the Troop Commander. Specified additional duties include Operations Officer, Troop Arms Room Officer, Crime Prevention Officer and Sensitive Items Inventory Officer.

Maintenance Control Officer for an Armored Reconnaissance Squadron in an Armored Brigade Combat Team. Responsible for the overall combat readiness of the Squadron to include execution of the Squadron Command Maintenance Discipline Program for a fleet of 26 M3A3 Bradley Fighting Vehicles, 31 M1151 Gun Trucks, over 75 additional support vehicles, and all weapon systems collectively valued in excess of $50 million. Responsible for the planning, resourcing, supervising, and reporting of all maintenance issues including the 026 report, TMDE, AOAP, and recoverable item management. Responsible for CL II and IX stockage for maintenance operations. Served as the Troop Safety Officer, Unit Arms Room Officer, Crime Prevention Officer, and Tool Custodian for 4 Forward Repair Systems and 4 M1152 Contact Trucks. Dual slotted as the squadron Maintenance Platoon Leader.Performance: Rated 4 of 23 First Lieutenants in the Squadron. Ensured Squadron's operational readiness rate never fell below 90%; oversaw preparation for upgrades to the M3A3 fleet as well as 14 M1A2 tanks attached to the Squadron, both inducted to upgrade program ahead of schedule. Turned in more than $140,000 of excess CL IX parts and equipment in preparation for deployment and brigade inactivation.

Four month required course given to maintenance officers beginning careers in the Army. Received training in leadership, unit and staff operations, tactics, munitions, and maintenance mission accomplishment. Special emphasis was placed on preparation to lead an ammunition or maintenance platoon and for staff positions within the Army.
