INgage Networks is Software as a Service (SaaS) tech company serving Fortune 500 enterprise accounts and State government agencies.I mostly served as a Senior Software Engineer on multiple key projects utilizing Microsoft technologies using C#/jQuery/Bootstrap/Responsive design, and Agile/Scrum methodology: • Served on a large development team to create a Microsoft Web API application to provide back-end API services for social websites, allowing customers to focus on UI functionality. • Programmed ongoing feature enhancements for a public facing Microsoft MVC web site used by a major credit card company for employee recruitment worldwide. • Programmed ongoing feature enhancements for a private Single Sign On MVC web site (for the same client) to globally capture and distribute applicant resume data to regional hiring managers. • Collaborated with client security personnel to re-engineer the Single Sign On authentication code to make authentication more efficient while strengthening security. • Frequently acted as liaison between Development and Server Operations teams to establish DEV/QAF/CAE/PRD environments and processes. • Worked with Quality Assurance teams to analyze logs, and if necessary, debug and correct software issues. • Set up Continuous Integration systems for several projects.I successfully took on additional (and concurrent) roles when key personnel left the company, ensuring our company continued to provide a high level of quality and service to our clients. This lead to more client facing interaction and developing an ability to create strong relationships with clients that contributed to their retention. I also became a key resource for Senior Management to provide technical direction in resolving customer reported application issues and improving internal processes. In addition, I acted as a dedicated Quality Assurance Analyst on several key projects.

Assigned responsibility of designing, implementing, and supporting a web based ASP.NET application to view and automatically email itineraries, electronic tickets, flight information, expense receipts, destination weather, maps, and online check-in functionality. My product pioneered the ability for travel agencies to put their custom brand on the itinerary and itinerary emails, and provide automatic online check-in emails integrated with major airlines.This product is developed in Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 using the C# language, and runs on the .NET 2.0 framework. This application retrieves data from external data stores using serialized XML messaging objects. I developed Windows Services to send itinerary and online check-in emails to travelers. This application receives over 1 million page views each month. At the beginning of 2006, I was leading and training offshore developers in India to handle maintenance and new development.

Began transitioning to commercial Internet based products. I worked with another developer to design, implement, and support the predecessor of the itinerary product described above. This web based ASP application displayed itinerary and flight information from TPF mainframes using XML messaging objects, and provided limited wireless device access. This product was one of the first web based itinerary products in the travel industry, and contributed to taking market share away from competitors. During this timeframe, I also contributed to developing other internet products used to book air, car, and hotel segments in ASP and early ASP.NET environments.

Assumed leadership of a team of 10 developers and 3 QA analysts developing a back office accounting and reporting application used in travel agencies. This product used TAIR interface records sent via ALC hard wired lines to track every transaction created by each individual agency. At that time, there were no other products that offered travel agency based back office reporting.

In this timeframe I enhanced and supported existing travel booking applications used by travel agencies and airlines. These applications ran on MS-DOS and early versions of MS Windows using C and C++ languages.

I worked as a QA analyst developing automated testing scripts for the first graphical spreadsheet application called WingZ running on Apple Macintosh computers. At that time, WingZ was a groundbreaking spreadsheet application and forced Microsoft Excel to match the ability of creating 3-D charts and graphics merely by selecting a range of cells and choosing a desired graph format.

I worked as a Site Support Engineer for a military contract enhancing an existing simulation used by the Army Research Institute to teach command and control skills to tank platoon leaders. This simulation ran on IBM PC-AT computers and Pioneer Laser Disk players to simulate Abrams M1 and Bradley Fighting Vehicles vs. Soviet tanks and personnel carriers, depicting terrain characteristics and calculating line of site visibility of each vehicle.This job mostly entailed acting as a liaison to military psychologists, but also involved setup and tuning of personal computers, laser disk players, and communications devices simulating communications headsets of that era. I also served as a computer programmer using the MODULA-2 language, and was able to dramatically improve joystick control of vehicles in the simulation.
