I advise the Ambassador and Australian businesses on strategic engagement with government and other stakeholders, undertake sector analysis and reporting, and am responsible for policy advocacy on multilateral issues and cooperation.

Supported the management and coordination of Australia’s foreign and economic policy and bilateral relations with India, including on cyber security and counter-terrorism, defence and people smuggling issues. Coordinated interdepartmental policy roundtables, and served as liaison between diplomatic missions working on India issues.

Worked on the planning and design, program implementation and performance management, and review and evaluation of Australia's aid program to Bangladesh. This work involved implementing Australia's aid investments through a range of partners in Bangladesh including development banks, UN agencies and other donors to support a government-led program in primary education that delivers long-term sustainable development results to the people of Bangladesh. It also involves working with the government, UN agencies and other donors to support improvements in social protection programs and to deliver economic opportunities to marginalised groups through transfers, income generating assets (such as livestock), school-feeding programmes, food- for-work, fee waivers and food vouchers. This support also helps people to improve risk management, facilitating higher return investments by the poor and participation of the poorest in labour markets, thus unlocking economic and self-sufficiency potential.

Worked on the implementation of the Australian Government's aid program to Indonesia in the Infrastructure Section to build a more supportive regulatory and policy environment for infrstructure investment and help implement more effective programme management of infrstructure projects. Australia's investment provides a catalyst for change in leveraging private sector investment and also creating incentives for local government investment in infrastructure, such as securing commercial loans for water utility projects.

Worked in evaluation management in the Office of Developemt Effectiveness (ODE) at the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID). Our role in ODE at AusAID builds stronger evidence for more effective aid. ODE monitors the performance of the Australian aid program, evaluates its impact and contributes to international evidence and debate about aid and development effectiveness.

Worked on Health (saving lives) and Ag and Rd (sustainable economic development) team in the Pakistan Section at AusAID. Based in Canberra.Australian aid to Pakistan supports efforts to maintain stability and democratic governance, and achieve economic development and poverty reduction in line with the Millennium Development Goals. It focuses on three primary sectors: saving lives (health), promoting opportunities for all (education), and sustainable economic development (agriculture and rural development). Governance and emergency management and response are secondary, cross-cutting sectors. Underpinning Australia’s aid program in Pakistan is support to gender equality.

Internship (3 months) with United Nations International Labour Organisation (ILO) in Phnom Penh where I worked on the International Programme for the Elimination of Child labour (IPEC). In this role I developed inter-ministerial multi-tiered Action Programme on Child Labour; and developed technical and financial progress reports.
