Randy has more than 30 years of real world experience helping business and commercial publishers improve their print production operations, with more than 25 years of that experience in helping publishers, printers and design professionals use computerized design and production tools. Over that time he has learned a lot about what does – and doesn't – work in a successful print production environment.Through his experiences as a trainer, industry consultant and publishing professional, Randy has acquired expert knowledge and experience in many print production programs, including Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat; QuarkXPress and specialized prepress applications. Randy is also an experienced online presenter using Acrobat Connect as a presentation and demonstration platform, as well as extensive experience creating online presentation content with products like Adobe Presenter/Captivate and TechSmith's Camtasia and Snag-It products. Randy’s developed a marketable practice in not only presenting online himself, but helping others do those presentations themselves effectively, engagingly and efficiently. An Adobe Certified Expert since 1999, Randy also is an original member of the AdobeProfessionals consultant group, and does presentations for Adobe throughout the eastern United States. In November, 2013, he was among the first trainer/consultants in the country to earn the prestigious Adobe Education Trainer certification. A single father of a 21-year-old daughter, Randy's production studio and consulting practice is based in Portland, Maine.
