This think tank is a publication and debate platform for students of the history of international relations to use history for the present and future. It is a place where distinguished history students can work on IR-related topics using history; after all, one cannot properly understand the present without the help of the past.

I contribute to the organization and coordination of the Master's program International Relations in Historical Perspective. I furthermore am the brigde between the teaching team and the students.

The internship involves two main components. The first part focuses on generating an advisory report regarding potential collaboration between the think tank GA! and the master's program in International Relations in Historical Perspective at Utrecht University. This comprehensive report comprises six chapters, covering aspects such as project timelines, funding, market survey, legal considerations for GA!, a detailed analysis of the think tank, its products, and capabilities, and an examination of community learning integration within the think tank.The second part involves serving as a research assistant to Dr. Stefanie Massink in her project, "Small power imperialism: The Netherlands and the Spanish-American War, 1898." This research explores the Dutch perspective during the new imperialism era, specifically analyzing how smaller imperial powers like the Netherlands perceived the Spanish-American War's impact on their colonial territories. The tasks include literature research involving finding and organizing relevant sources, as well as archival research to uncover primary sources in Dutch archives. The internship's final deliverables include the advisory report on potential collaboration and a concise summary of research activities undertaken for Dr. Stefanie Massink's project.
