This included characterising the impact of material, design, manufacturing and testing variables across testing in liquid nitrogen and liquid helium.Developed a novel cryogenic composite fracture toughness characterisation, involving in-situ optical microcrack monitoring at cryogenic temperatures under tensile loading.Cryogenic expert within the NCC, consulting on numerous other projects including the development of a liquid hydrogen (LH2) tank demonstrator through the design, manufacture and LH2 testing phases.
