With a background in information organization, literature, history, and archival practices, I am not your typical construction employee. With my MA in Medieval Literature & Book History and MS in Library Science, I'm enthusiastic about research, digital humanities, data-driven decision making, and problem solving. Even stranger than my education background is my work history -I was a Flight Attendant for over six years spending my time at 32,000 feet developing endless communication skills (and patience!)Now, I am the fourth generation to be involved with my family's business, Anderson Construction Company of Fort Gaines, an award-winning general contractor with over 59 years of experience in the construction industry, including 33+ years as a provider of operation & maintenance (O&M) services. I love to divide my time volunteering with professional organizations to grow and connect with other knowledge enthusiasts. I serve as a Council Member for the Association of General Contractors of Georgia's Young Leaders Program and also serve as part of the Underwriting Committee of the Southern Risk Captive Insurance Company. I’m a graduate of Construction Performance Advisor's Contractor Bootcamp and I’ve been recently accepted to Harvard Business School’s High Potential Leaders course. Outside of work, I enjoy giving back and serving my community. I serve as a governor-appointed member of the Middle Chattahoochee Water Council, the Board Chairwoman of the Clay County Library Board, and a board member of both the Clay County Hospital Authority and Clay County Historical Society.
