Reporting to our CIO, I lead data engineering, data analytics and custom software development for Balfour Beatty Group.I chair our Joint Technology Council & Data Governance groups, and co-chair our Technical Design Authority.

Reporting to our Director of IT Strategy, I lead Balfour Beattys data, code, AI/ML, EUC and mobile strategies. I'm focused on driving new technology adoption whilst delivering cost reduction and pragmatic, practical solutions to large-scale business challenges.With a proven background in delivery and strategy, I work closely with our strategic partners, including Microsoft, Amazon and Google, to design and deliver scalable solutions to business requirements in an £8 billion revenue international infrastructure company.* IT Strategy Leadership* Design and ownership of multiple cloud and big data transformation projects (AWS - Amazon Web Services and GCP - Google Cloud Platform)* Member of Balfour Beatty's Technical Design Authority, providing technical assurance and assessment of group-wide solutions and technical architectures* Close engagement with senior business stakeholders at the highest level, including our Major Projects, UK Construction Services, Rail and Plant divisions.* Lead on custom software development standards and governance, including version control (Git), testing, continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD)* Lead Balfour Beatty's machine learning strategy, with a focus on exploiting business value and predictive analytics driven by our big data systems* Automation of processes and procedures to drive consistency at scale, including infrastructure as code, containerisation (docker, kubernetes) and business process digitisation.
