I began my career in Washington, D.C., serving as a Law Clerk for the United States Senate Judiciary Committee and later as a Counsel in the United States Senate. I returned to my home state of Idaho to clerk for former Chief Justice of the Idaho Supreme Court Daniel Eismann and later served as a commercial litigator in private practice. I received my J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law, and my B.A. in political science cum laude from the Honors College at Boise State University. I now run lisa mcgrath llc, a new media law firm that focuses on social media compliance and training, and legal issues related to Internet, marketing, advertising, E-commerce, mobile apps, privacy, and technology law. I am an Attorney Member of Harvard's Berkman Center Online Media Legal Network, and the Idaho Business Review recently named me a 2013 Leader in Law for my innovative practice.
