I found cycling through the collegiate program while at Middlebury College. I quickly achieved success and set off to travel the world climbing the ranks from the top ranked American on the US domestic circuit to competing as a World Tour professional in Europe’s biggest races including the Giro d’Italia and Tour de France. After racing for a decade, I retired from Cannondale-Garmin at the end of 2015. Having developed a following from my racing career, it presented the opportunity to go from a Professional Racer to a Professional Rider. I now work with Cannondale, SRAM, Zipp, InGamba, Velocio, and others, working in product development, ambassadorship, leading camps, creating events, consulting as well as being host on "King of the Ride" podcast and YouTube channel.Racing these days means fewer intervals and seeking out adventure but that competitive spirit hasn’t waned: he is a 2x and current Dirty Kanza Gravel race champion. Amidst training he's helping run UnTapped Maple Sports Nutrition which Ted helped co-found in 2014.
