A salon owner at the business end; I now have a team of around 20 (rebuilding from Covid) of which I have two managers to run the day-to-day operations. My job is back office and strategy.

The National Hairdressers' Federation is the UK’s largest trade association for hairdressing, barbering and beauty salon owners. Our aim is to help members build successful, profitable and sustainable businesses. Ian has has served within the NHF as Secretary for Greater London and on the National Executive Council.

Located in Bermuda I had a unique prospective on the hair and beauty industry. I worked as the manager and as a hairstylist heading up a team of international stylists and beauty therapists. It is from here I studied business and began developing business strategies for the salons I was running.
