Highlighting that students involved in Abertay Sport were 10% more likely to pass their studiesWalk,Talk & Learn: Pilot study into the viability of walking tutorials and supervision meetings. The study found a number of required prerequisites for this practice to succeed but also found that combining physical activity with learning could increase learner engagement by as much as 15%

Key Projects:Positive Coaching Scotland “Honour the Game” project: Responsible for the roll out of the pilot PCS programme for football. The project aimed to create a set of values and behaviours for coaches and parents to ensure that Double Goal Coaching/Parenting was paramount within grassroots football. Over 1500 workshops were delivered alongside seeing fewer incidents of unsavory behaviour and a huge increase in participation in football as players, coaches and refereesResearch lead for the Scottish FA Physical Literacy Programme. Across all 6 Scottish FA regions daily physical literacy lessons were taught to primary aged children for a year. The research found that taking art in daily physical literacy sessions during the school day was feasible and had a positive effect on academic attainment and the health & wellbeing of pupils
