Supervisor: Dr. Yang Yang - Examined the role of microglia in autism-associated models of SCN2A deficiency from mouse to human cerebral organoid.- Examined how microglia respond and regulate the neurons with the Nav1.2-L1342P mutation, a variant that is identified in epilepsy patients.- Applyied techniques of immunostaining, calcium imaging, cryostat, transfection, and qPCR to iPSC-derived organoids, mice’s hippocampus, and iPSC-derived microglia - Analyzed the data from immunostaining, Confocal imaging, and calcium imaging through ImageJ, Excel, IMARIS, MATLAB, and Excel
