I have over 30 years experience across a broad range of disciplines in the IT Industry and have been involved in the design and construction of major communication systems and development projects for several large companies and government authorities. In the past 14 years I have specialized in architecture, design and development of Java/J2EE and Web based technologies, and have extensive experience of the software development lifecycle.For the past ten years, I have held the position of Architect/Team Lead on projects implementing the IBM Cúram Social Program Management Platform and has been responsible for all aspects of these projects including technical, business, effort estimation, and training/mentoring of internal/external staff.During this time with Cúram/IBM, I have developed tools that are used worldwide on many Cúram projects simplifying the process of configuring security, creating communications, data migration, and development. I have a strong ‘give back’ ethic and have my own IBM community called ‘Thommos Tools’ where I publish my innovative work in the hope that it will benefit both customers and IBM consultants and for which I have received multiple IBM awards.I develop Android games in my own time and have successfully published these on the Google Play store.
