Gis Analyst
- Lead GIS analyst for nearly six years in a fast-paced, professional setting. Duties of this position included, but were not limited to:- Utilize customer rewards segmentation data to create specialized target marketing campaigns to maximize ROI, customer retention, and new customer acquisition- Daily utilization of ArcGIS suite of programs to provide complex maps and supporting analytics for high impact business decisions- Used ArcCatalog to create GIS file archival structures to promote ease of use, logical storage, and continuity in naming conventions for associate analysts- Created single .MXD maps and .MXD map workbooks from scratch in ArcMap using integrated GIS data from relational database environment- Created .MXD templates in ArcMap for repeated use in ongoing and future projects- Reformatted raw delimited .CSV, .XLS and .TXT data from external sources for subsequent use in geocoding processes- Extensive experience geocoding via several methods, such as original ArcMap/ArcCatalog geocoder, Maptitude geocoder, and newest ArcGIS Online geocoding platform- Digitized large .SHP files from hard copy data supplied by external clients used for providing them detailed routing maps- Used ESRI's Business Analyst Online (BAO) to create market potential profiles based on demographics and expenditure variables for current and potential retail locations- Identified and interviewed new GIS analyst hiresProject Examples- Creation of 50+ individual retail location maps for use in overall brand portfolio, which was reviewed with client to make strategic market decisions on a location-by-location basis - Formatting, geocoding and plotting of proprietary customer expenditure data, which was then classified by spend level and used to modify current budgets based on penetration in given geographies - Use of spatial analysis techniques in ArcGIS to determine allowable geographic scope of ad campaigns based on budget restrictions and desired customer profile
