I am an Experienced Technical Lead Engineer for a complex mechanical system working with the Customer, the Suppliers, FAA representatives, and multi-function groups to plan, design and develop the installation and operation of systems on the relevant platform. I have been involved from the beginning of several programs through to successful testing and operation. This I have accomplished by working with many people with a variety of skills from mechanics to senior management. Customers and Suppliers have recognized me as a focal and valuable resource. I have evaluated Customer and operational needs to define requirements, technical parameters, interfaces, both physical and functional, and system architecture. I have worked with analysis and lessons learned to ensure the best performance that meets the Customers mission. I excel in solving problems with my mechanical and technical expertise utilizing practical methods. I have never felt so proud of what I have accomplished as the day I flew with our new tanker and it passed fuel to receivers using the equipment I had helped design and develop. That was quite an achievement for all that participated. When not involved with work I cannot turn off the engineer in me and I still fix things or change them for some other purpose and enjoy doing so. I have gained an Industrial Certificate for CATIA V5 to add to my resume and continue to practice and improve my CATIA skills. I am a Systems Engineer at Rockwell Collins, Everett, WA. I am putting to good use my experience gained through many years at Boeing working with requirements. I am working to define configurations for Advanced Lavatories that Rockwell Collins are supplying to Boeing for the 737NG and 737Max programs. It is interesting working for a supplier instead of being on the customer side.
