Initiated and project managed the Foundation Project (a JDE upgrade with extensions into ‘order to cash’, ‘procure to pay’ and inventory management) at Warrnambool Cheese and Butter to a successful implementation in scope, budget and time terms. Developed and motivated the project team in this endeavour, and since completion have started to develop in-house ICT capability. Recently completed initiation, proof of concept and approval of a Business Intelligence project.

Managed a team of functional business analysts and analyst/programmers engaged in the development, support and continuous improvement of Pilkington’s integrated Enterprise Resource Planning system, SAP, and this role was the culmination of doing so successfully for over ten years. This activity formed the basis of all the business transactions underpinning Pilkington (Australia) operations, a business of turnover in excess of $300m pa. Undertook the strategic planning and management of the Information Systems department (~ 22 staff and $8m pa budget) over the same period, jointly with the IT Services Manager. Reported to Group SAP Director in UK.

As for SAP Applications & Development Manager, but reporting to local CIO. Achieved team 'certification' as SAP Competency Centre with team. Represented employer on the committee of SAUG in two 3 year periods. Chaired Support & Service and Supply Chain special interest groups in parallel with committee terms.

Pilkington Australia – various rolesWas Management Services Manager and Technical Development Manager within the Automotive Division (4 years) before moving to Corporate functions of Senior Internal Auditor (3 years), BPR Manager and Project Manager (SAP).

Provided capital evaluation and work process improvement services to the Smelter & related business functions, such as the carbon plant, power station & maintenance. Supervised IE & later accounting staff.
