About Ian Wright
I’m a strategic program manager and supply chain logistics leader who knows how to find the right answers, identify the right talent for the task, do the research and homework to understand the moving parts, and then create the plans that will accomplish the goal. My toolbox includes program and project management, operational planning, large-scale logistics and equipment management, contract negotiations and management, large budgets, and strategic forecasting. I’ve worked with SAP for Logistics & Supply. As of October 2020, I have joined Flexport, a leader in freight forwarding with a powerful cloud platform, Operating System for Global Trade, as a Supply Chain Operations Associate and I’m looking forward to transitioning my seven years of military supply logistics experience into a corporate role. I joined the US Army after college and spent more than seven years as an officer, with assignments in New York and Virginia and deployments in logistics and supply chain roles to South Korea and Iraq. My training and experience taught me to be a confident manager and to lead with empathy and loyalty. My direct approach and team attitude also contribute to my success.
