I am a software engineer. I like to understand why the software is needed, find a practical solution to satisfy this need, design and implement the software, see it working and being used, get feedback, make it better, rinse and repeat. All this cannot be done alone so I enjoy good teamwork. It motivates me greatly to collaborate with professionals from different fields, backgrounds and levels of experience - to make things work in the best way possible. I like learning and improving myself, both professionally and personally.I am working in Kalmar. My responsibilities are mostly related to data collection and analysis as well as system integration. As a Technical Product Owner I am collaborating with Product and Project Managers, Project Engineers, and other Software Engineers, in order to understand and bridge what is needed and what is possible. I am also communicating with customers and write technical specifications. I am leading a small team ensuring that the product i am responsible for is well maintained, documented and improves with changing needs. On a more hands-on level I am involved in continuous improvement, handling code reviews and internal releases, being delivery owner in epics, and also I write code (mostly in Java and Scala). I try to spend at least some time to learn and experiment with new technologies, when the workload allows. As software development is not all roses, I also have to read logs and fix bugs. Finally, I do bring :cake: on my birthday and sweets from my travels.In future I want to keep being involved in software development.
