About Ifti Qadir
After finishing my masters in computer science in 1992, I started working as a VB programmer. One day, my boss handed me three floppy discs of complete Rational software and asked me to evaluate them. It turned out to be the best opportunity presented to me; I found my niche. I learned that I enjoy testing code more than writing it. However, there was no testing methodology that came with the tool. Thus, l spent the next several years developing an organized way to test software. After experimenting with different ideas and exchanging notes with my peers, things started to shape-up. My next challenge was educating and proving the importance of structured testing to project managers and convincing them to embrace it. In 2002, I founded my company Quality Check, Inc., sharing it with whoever was ready to listen. Today, our challenge is different. We have a long list of testing tools and methodologies to pick from. But we want to know the appropriate testing footprint for projects and select the right combination of resources to culminate in a winning strategy. My other passion is to bring cloud technology into physician’s offices. I worked closely with other stakeholders such as insurance companies, pharmacies, health information exchanges, state health departments, physicians, and patients to build a system that will communicate in real-time in all directions. This was a revolutionary concept. Initially, doctors did not believe that it was possible to manage their offices from their cell phones.
