Ignacio is an internal medicine physician with experience in digital health, health informatics and clinical data science. He is currently an Innovation Fellow at Stanford Biodesign, where he applies a proven, repeatable process to identify unmet health-related needs, invent novel health technologies to address them, and prepare to implement those products into patient care. He is also a Health Informatics Advisor at Hospital Militar de Santiago, and a University Professor at Universidad de los Andes (CL), where he designs and teaches courses on digital health and health informatics for various academic units. He has a strong background in clinical data analysis, visualization, and modeling, with work ranging from designing high-quality data capture systems to clinical decision support. He is passionate about data-driven approaches to clinical problem-solving. He holds a postdoctoral fellowship in Biodesign from Stanford University, an MD and a medical specialty in Internal Medicine from Universidad de los Andes (CL), and an Artificial Intelligence Engineer Nanodegree from Udacity.
