A 4 month internship (640 hours) at IDISO Hotel Distribution.Pioneer Spanish company in hotel distribution services running a platform which enables confirmed reservations in any type of hotel (urban and resort, big or small) being accessible and effective to tour operators, travel agencies on and offline end users.This is possible thanks to the use of a powerful Booking Engine online and Mobile in 24 languages, and the connection with all the travel agencies online and offline, a continual multi-language Call Centre service and a wide range of Web Design services for hotels, Marketing Online and Revenue Management, among others.Business Develpoment:- Assist on the research of new business opportunities. Analyse these opportunities.- Assist on the analysis of market surveys in order to define potential costumers.Contracting & Sales:- Aid on the identification, segmentation and analysis of potential costumers and main competitors on new markets.- Assist on the surveys and analysis of the competitors and their products.- Aid the department with prospecting calls.- Presentation of the product to potential costumers and follow-up.- Assist forwarding all the necessary documents for the costumers to get to know IDISO.- Aid redacting business proposals and contracts.- Coordinate with different departaments involved on the registration of new hotels to our platform (CRS).After-Sale:-Assist on the follow up and analysis of the hotel´s productions.-Assist on the creation of offers and packages to upsell different products within the hotel.

Sheraton Madrid Mirasierra Hotel & Spa 5*

Receptionist: In the Sheraton Mirasierra Suites Hotel (182 rooms), over a period of 4 months in 2011/2012. Duties included: Check-in and check-out of guests, confirmation of bookings, concierge (morning, evening and night shifts). Attending the executive level on the 10th and last floor that has its own reception and lounge bar. Dealing with 14 Premium Suites. Providing professional, attentive and private assistance to the guests and their needs, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay.Housekeeping supervisor:Over a period of two months in 2011, as part of my course practice, I have worked with the Housekeeping department as a supervisor in the Sheraton Mirasierra Suites Hotel, a 5 Star establishment. My duties included management and supervision of the housekeeping staff, checking the cleanliness of rooms and common areas, making sure they are in pristine condition. It is the hotel where Real Madrid F.C. stay before home matches.
