Responsible for the design and delivery of public engagement processes connected to Vancouver's Climate Emergency Action Plan.

Provided strategic advice, coaching to staff on the development and implementation of engagement plans for over 150 projects across the City. Notable projects include the Healthy City Strategy, the Engaged City Task Force, Block 51, the 2014 municipal election campaign, Pop-Up City Hall and City Bird, Doors Open Vancouver, City's social media strategy.

Was part of a team that developed Vancouver's Greenest City Action Plan. My main duties were to manage the online public engagement process (Talk Green to Us), develop and execute the larger public consultation events, and manage the social media accounts.

Design and deliver in-person and online trainings on a myriad of topics connected to planning and executing public engagement processes – including the five-day IAP2 Foundations in Public Participation course. Taught over 550 students from the City of Vancouver, across Canada, and Scandinavia, including municipal staff and senior leaders.

The Smart Growth on the Ground (SGOG) program helps BC communities create visions of a more sustainable future with an implementation strategy to get there. The vision is guided by eight Smart Growth Principles and created through a participant driven process, mutli-stakeholder design charrette, and the integration of location-specific research. Prince George was the fourth SGOG community. My role was to design and lead the public engagement process that guided the development of the plan. The Downtown Concept Plan was unanimously adopted by Prince George Council in 2009.

Facilitated public workshop discussions, prepared public presentations, researched smart growth indicators and benchmarks, assisted in design charrettes, reviewed relevant policy documents, and assisted in the production of final concept plans. Participated in design charrettes for Smart Growth on the Ground Squamish, Britannia Beach, Squamish Downtown Waterfront, Sustainability by Design, “Sustainability Street” at UBC, Emerald Hills Urban Village, and Plan|it|Calgary.

Researched green building practices and certification systems for Dr. Ray Cole.
