My resolve to serve medically complex patients as a speech-language pathologist started in 2018 as a volunteer at Austin Speech Labs, where I worked with survivors of stroke, TBI, and head & neck cancer. Since then, I've acquired hundreds of clinical experience hours serving clients with communication and swallowing disorders in inpatient and outpatient care environments. In addition to graduating with my M.S. in Communication Disorders, I've completed the SPEAK OUT! & The LOUD Crowd training/certifications and the MBSImP Student Reliability Zone. I've used this valuable knowledge to maximize the well-being of my clients and remediate and minimize the effects of their communication and swallowing disorders. Currently, I work at a skilled nursing facility in Bastrop, offering evidence-based therapeutic solutions for adult clients with complex communication and swallowing needs.
