My primary experience revolves around my teaching credentials. I currently teach university-level writing and Business writing at Creighton University. I have also taught at the University of Central Oklahoma, Baylor University, and Truman State University, among others. I have over a decade of teaching experience, and five years of full-time teaching experience. I select learning resources and design course structures utilizing learning strategies and outcomes. I evaluate writing for content as well as proofreading and copyedit writing. I am proficient in using learning management systems, primarily Canvas and Brightspace D2L, though I have experience with Blackboard, TopHat, and Skyepack. I regularly experiment with technological teaching aids to incorporate into my courses in order to enhance student engagement. I have training certifications for teaching online courses on Brightspace D2L and have taught numerous online courses as well as hybrid courses. I also completed a mastery series course for Instructional Design through the Online Learning Consortium. Another facet of my credentials lies in my writing experience. My academic writing involves preparing articles for publication in scholarly journals. I create drafts that present contributions to current scholarly conversations and respond to feedback from editors to revise and polish my contributions to the journal of volume. This experience has prepared me to write at very formal levels for specialists; combined with teaching materials, I can compose content for an array of audiences at various degrees of education and specialization.
