Backend Software Developer - Data ScientistI'm a data scientist turned into a software developer, passionate about finance, specifically DeFi. DeFi is the perfect pairing of my long-dated love for mathematics and my growing passion for (backend) software development. I'm looking for a full-time long-term position as a backend software developer in Canada, so reach out if you'd like to schedule a chat.The spheres I operate in:Blockchain Development - Lately at BalloonBox, I've been developing dApps (decentralized Apps) for a series of blockchains including Polygon, Solana, Near Protocol, and Secret Network. The dApps are powered by smart contracts which I coded either in Solidity or Rust.- Backend Software Development: dApps are also powered by backend logic and data intelligence. Usually, I build backend APIs in Pyhon's fastAPI web framework and SQLAlchemy for ORM.- Data Science: Python is my forte for data analytics and DataViz, too: Geopandas, Seaborn, Matplotlib, and Plotly, while for math optimization I often choose Google OR-Tools. - Mathematics: My background is primarily grounded in discrete mathematics, specifically building Linear Programming software to solve optimally Operations Research problems (e.g., employee scheduling and school timetabling). Analysis and pattern recognition are my strength and I like to think logically, systematically, and methodically both in life and at work. I'm eager to build tech that measurably improves people's lives.
