Shadowed event planning staff and supported front-of-house operations at UCL’s three museums: The Petrie Museum of Egyptian and Sudanese Archaeology, UCL Art Museum and the Grant Museum.

I worked directly with the Artistic Director, Penelope Kupfer and Gallery Manager, Victoria Gyuleva to assist with the production and retailing of a variety of art pieces and exhibitions. I managed administrative tasks and day-to-day operations whilst learning about client interactions, sales, and gallery management. experience with websites and software: Artsy, Adobe InDesign, ArtLogic, and Eventbrite.

I worked with ARTS4LA to create student voice initiatives demanding greater arts accessibility in public schools. I created an open letter reaching out to LA school districts. I was also the head of social media for the project and developed outreach toolkits for partner organizations.

I worked with artists and museum educators as a Teen Intern in the MOCA Teen program with the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art. Areas of focus included working with the museum to increase art accessibility and managing and designing an in-person teen event with over 300 attendees in 2022. My role included directly managing artist communication and curating a teen art collection. For the 2021 event—with over 200 virtual participants— I managed all digital activities. Additionally, I created TikTok content for the Pipilotti Rist Big Heartedness: Be My Neighbor exhibition at the Geffen Contemporary location for MOCA’s 24,000+ follower social media account.

I participated in a program that explored the intersection between arts and activism practices with Hammer staff and UCLA undergraduate and graduate students. I had the opportunity to brainstorm and work with performance artist EJ Hill, and we created our own socially engaged performance art pieces. Clips of these pieces were posted on Hammer’s social media and gained over 6,000 views.

I worked with testimony from survivors of genocides and developed school curricula, material, and activities for middle school students. I also beta-tested the “Dimensions in Testimony” program for future museum exhibitions.
