AAPLE’s mission is to offer high school students with a rigorous four-year academic pathway to prepare students for top-tier colleges while simultaneously sustained involvement in leadership and service-based opportunities that will improve our local community.

San Marcos Entrepreneurship Academy provides students with a focus so that they can learn about a variety of business practices through both experience and dual enrollment classes. During your time in the academy, students participate in Marketing 101, then Finance 101, followed by Entrepreneurship 101, and then the capstone class called Entrepreneurship in Action where students are either able to create their own business or participate in an internship. Throughout the academy we get to compete in numerous competitions, listen from guest speakers, create our own projects, and more!

Summer of 2023, I interned with Project Reboot on their outreach team. This incredible opportunity was given to me through my marketing class within the Entrepreneurship Academy at San Marcos Senior High School. Through this experience, I have learned invaluable skills like email outreach, research into other brands and opportunities, drafting emails, and all around workplace experience. With the goal of educating kids on how to overcome screen time addiction, Project Reboot is creating a positive impact on a multitude of communities.
