Design, develop, test and implement software applications and web solutions, databases, and documentation for research projects. Designs user interfaces for web projects. Gather, interpret, and document system requirements. Researches technologies suitable for cost effective solution in projects. Required to be versatile and able to implement creative solutions with the big picture in mind as a full stack developer. Able to switch roles between programmer, web designer, system administrator, and consultant seamlessly. Some of projects worked on:1) Carb-X - a Boston University global partnership dedicated to accelerating antibacterial research to tackle the global rising threat of drug-resistant bacteria. Served as one of the programmers maintaining its back-end website, adding new features and functionalities, producing customized reports. 2) Coconut Surveillance - Real time surveillance and response for Malaria Elimination3) Kenya Equity Education Project II — support refugee children in schools so they can access quality education despite the difficult living conditions. 4) Real-time Sentinel Surveillance System for Malaria, Ebola and Other Emerging Infections.5) Global Network for Women’s and Children’s Health Research - serve as a developer, develops solutions and improvements for data collection, trains users, and builds capacity at the international sites, provide technical support to each site to facilitate the data collection and transmission.6) Combination Prevention for Vulnerable Women in South Africa - programming and testing of the mobile data collection instruments for Android devices being used for this study in South Africa.7) NTD Envision Database - collects collect, store and analyze monitoring & evaluation data reported by USAID supported projects working to control and eliminate neglected tropical diseases.
