Extant are the UK’s leading professional performing arts company that explores visual impairment to create unique and innovative artistic experiences. My main responsibilities include: HR, governance, finance, project management and fundraising.At the end of this NPO round Extant's founding director and CEO, Maria Oshodi, will step down. Instead of carrying out a standard recruitment process to fill her shoes, we are embarking on a four-year project to turn ourselves inside out, invite new disabled leaders into the heart of the company, share what we have learnt so far, and together discover the shape of Extant’s leadership for the future.

LUTSF provides financial support to UK residents who wish to travel (internationally or in the UK) through their Main Award and Dancer in Training Award to pursue a research project, attend a conference or undertake a short course in the fields of movement or dance.Set up in memory of the a distinguished dance teacher Lisa Ullmann, since 1987 LUTSF has awarded over 500 scholarships amounting to more than £250,000.

Casson & Friends create unique performances that are interactive and joyful. The company often collaborates with the public, inviting them to engage with dance in exciting and accessible ways. As Executive Producer I focused on future strategy, new market opportunities, tour booking, building financial systems as well as partnership and product development. I developed new international licencing partnerships for The Dance WE Made and built an innovative model of green touring across Asia, South East Asia and Australia where we found new partners, trained and recruited dozens of disabled and non-disabled dancers to perform the work and expanded the reach of the company. Produced a multi-platform work - Preppers, which had a live touring iteration, a film version (with audio description by Vocal Eyes) and the first game by a performing arts company - Preppers: The Game - for the Amazon Alexa smart speaker platform which I also wrote the script for.

Neon Dance is an internationally recognised dance company that produces adventurous work for the stage, screen and spaces in between. Collaboration is at the heart of Neon Dance with the company creating work with Numen, Nils Frahm, Leopold Lambert and Ana Rajcevic.As Executive Producer I secured a number of international commissions from Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennial and Setouchi Art Festival (Japan), Reversible Destiny Foundation (USA) and Sadler's Wells and The Place (UK). I wrote the 2021-2025 business plan and built a suite of policies to enhance the long term health of the organisation whilst sustaining relationships with venues, festivals and organisations as well as seeking unusual contexts like nightclubs, museum and music venues partnerships to present Neon Dance.

2Faced Dance Company create innovative performance work and participatory activity that responds to the needs of Herefordshire. The company tours extensively and has developed the artist development, advocacy and commissioning programme #TheBENCH which aims to address the lack of equality faced by female choreographers.As Executive Director and Joint CEO I built and sustained relationships with venues, museums, festivals and heritage organisations in UK, Europe & Asia and was responsible for the financial health of the company. Sadhana Dance is an internationally recognised dance company, lead by Subathra Subramaniam. Drawing from her belief that dance can play a part in the public understanding and engagement with scientific concepts she produces choreography which explores the space between art and science collaborating with Kathy Hinde, Matthew Olden and Aideen Malone., As Producer I secured a number of significant fundraising grants including £100,000 from Wellcome Trust in partnership with Science Oxford alongside multiple Arts Council England £30,000 - £50,000 project grants. I built and maintained strategic relationships with a number of the UK Science Festivals, venues, collaborators and educational institutions as well as seeking alternative contexts and partnerships to present Sadhana Dance. In Spring 2020 we were about to embark on a rural tour after securing remounting and performance funds for a work premiered in 2013.

The Artifact creates choreographic work that aims to tell stories that have been untold or mis-told throughout history whilst producing improvisation events that combine dance with other art forms including spoken word and live coding. The Artifact also deliver sensitive and enjoyable workshops across the UK with a diverse set of participants from undergraduate students to women recovering from violence.

As the programme producer for a weekly specialist show on film scores and soundtracks I am responsible for music choices, guests and interviews, timings and overall show content. Alongside this I am the board operator responsible for volume levels, recording software, switchboard and on-air talent. As the radio broadcaster I am the sole on-air position who introduces and discusses various genres of music and specialist areas of interest. I've produced and broadcast over 400 hours of air time with specialist film soundtrack radio shows.

Creative Dundee supports creative talent to base, grow and sustain their practice in and around Dundee, by connecting and amplifying the city’s creativity. It leads projects which generate local, national and international opportunities for people and the city & exists to support the city’s strong creative ecology. My role on the board is looking particularly at product development, new organisational models & alternative leadership.

Seeta Patel is on a mission to reframe Bharatanatyam as a classical art form and help others see it like Ballet, Opera or Painting. She is an independent artist working in dance, choreography and film. Her training is in the classical dance form of Bharatanatyam, and her work includes performing solo classical Bharatanatyam, creating contemporary dance and film.

ADAD is a national organisation that supports the practice and appreciation of dance of the African Diaspora. The organisation has a unique role working on behalf of dance artists who are part of the African Diaspora and supporting their development. ADAD in partnership with Pavilion Dance South West, IRIE! dance theatre and DeMontfort University presented Regenerations 2014 6-8th November 2014 in Bournemouth. It underwent a period of organisational change as it merged with Youth Dance England, Dance UK and the National Dance Teachers Association to become One Dance UK.

As Director I lead the development of Citymoves as an independent dance agency, taking responsibility for strategic vision and for the artistic, participatory and financial success of the organisation and DanceLive 15. I also developed relevant activities and partnerships to champion dance locally (The Suttie Arts Space & The Anatomy Rooms), across Scotland (with Bodysurf & planB) and internationally (British Council Scotland & Creative Scotland).

I provided inspirational leadership for a team whilst developing and implementing a clear and cohesive vision and range of activities across the performance, film, participatory and artist development programmes. I also supported, provided advice and dance content for a number of venues across the South West and companies nationally.I left the organisation in mid November 2014 to continue my own creative practice. Leaving an artistic programme and structural legacy in place which will run until Autumn 2015 and includes: six seasons of Thursday Night is Dance Night, three summers of Unusual Dance in Usual Places, three specialist Summits (South Asian, Integrated & Hip Hop), two years of art house cinema programming alongside a strategic artistic commissioning (including Vesalii Icones - a collaboration with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra) and support programme.

As Artistic Producer I curated an original and high quality programme of international dance performances and art house cinema whilst supporting artists and companies through a series of commissions and development opportunities with budget responsibility for £230,000. I also levered in additional programme spend for the organisation of £180,000 and was successful in securing one of nine digital research & development funds from NESTA to develop DanceTag - a new dance game for smartphones.I created and sustained local, regional and national partnerships with a range of agencies and cultural providers (libraries, art galleries, venues, artists), lead and managed the artistic team and ensured that our cultural output has a strategic and consistent approach across all areas of engagement.

As Programme Manager I created and sustained local and national partnerships with a range of agencies and cultural providers (Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Arts University College Bournemouth, English Folk Dance and Song Society and Avant Garde Dance) to develop an original and high quality programme that maximised the scope and reach of Pavilion Dance. I built a programme of 40 regular classes from scratch when Pavilion Dance opened and turned it into a significantly profitable income stream for the organisation, I created and programmed large scale, outdoor public events including Dancing Terraces. I also developed strategies for engagement with schools, children & young people, older people, local & community groups through a range of learning and participation opportunities.

As the longest serving game critic for the internationally renowned genre specialist film festival, I was responsible for creating content for the games section on the SFL website. I reviewed games across all platforms and am the 'His' half and the 'His & Hers' review. I created event reports and previews from attending Gamescom, Eurogamer and GameCity as well as opinion features on new tech or sci-fi/movie game related projects.

As the programme producer for a daily lunchtime 4hr radio show and a 4hr weekend specialist show on film scores and soundtracks I was responsible for music choices, guests and interviews, callers for talk radio, timings, pre-recorded and overall show content. I was the first Regional Youth Dance Coordinator for the South West working with Youth Dance England, delivering a series of strategic programmes, events and activities focused on young people and youth dance artists including Dance Links and Next Steps. I developed the first region wide partnerships with Royal Ballet School and three Youth Music Action Zones as well writing the regional development plan for youth dance in the South West that helped secure over £400,000 investment in youth dance for the region from 2008-2011.

An arts led investigation into the nature of sport, working with six schools, ten artists, six sports personalities and the Northcott Theatre, Exeter.My main responsibility was to act as liaison between the project leader, the schools and the venue. I organised a weekend festival where each school performed a devised piece alongside an exhibition of students art work (including painting, photography and sculpture), artist lead workshops within schools and finally… IT IS NOW! - a unique series of five day long art events where each day concentrated on a different art discipline that saw a total of 350 students put together a brand new performance each evening. Other aspects of the role saw me securing funding (Arts Council England and Paul Hamlyn Foundation), helping to create all documentation and Onside press and publicity plus compiling, writing and designing the final evaluation

I was responsible for the rebranding (print and web re-design) of the organisation as it celebrated its 50th anniversary, commissioning new artists and design agencies and delivering the marketing mix for the NSDF including digital, press, PR, events and print media and generating national media exposure.I built and maintained relationships with dozens of further and higher education institutions to encourage them to enter productions and attend the festival. Throughout my three years, we had year on year record breaking number of entries, consistently sold out the subscription tickets and generating an income of £70,000.I was responsible for developing an anti clash schedule to ensure that the 600 festival goers (streamed into four bands) moved cleanly around the festival and everyone watched all 15 productions and attended 12 of 100 workshops on offer.
