As a Project Engineer, I worked within the Undersea Systems Global Sustainment division to provide acoustic system-level components and integrated logistics for submarine fleets throughout the globe, spanning across numerous domestic and foreign countries. My responsibilities included providing program oversight/support for the Mini Stock Point (MSP) program, a $5 million initiative to ensure that the US Navy submarine fleet receives adequate component deliveries, repairs, and system-level testing prior to deployment. In this role, I implemented three (3) Microsoft Excel-based programs that have reduced operation time from 1.5 hours to 10 seconds, 2 weeks to 1 minute, and provides oversight into loans, borrows, and backorder component tracking. I also had the opportunity to manage two (2) proposals that were delivered to the customer for contractual support worth $2M. In addition, I successfully managed to reduce the team's Stock In Transit (SIT) from approximately $400,000 to $125,000 and helped the program claim over $8M in open contract services.

In this role, I was responsible for managing and leading a cross-functional, union-represented team of 17 employees by executing performance, quality and cost measures for the C-130 engines. As a supervisor, my administrative responsibilities included time-card approval, leading weekly safety/organization meetings, facilitating 1-on-1 performance meetings with each mechanic, and interacting with subcontractors, quality engineers, and other supervisors to ensure alignment and priorities were met. In addition, I also briefed my Senior Manager and Director on weekly cost, schedule, safety, and Foreign Objects and Debris (FOD) metrics. By the conclusion of my six month rotation, my team and I were able to improve the overall build schedule by five (5) days through successful material and personnel management techniques. From a financial perspective, my team and I were successful in delivering four (4) C-130 engines under budget by approximately 27 hours, the first time a set of aircraft engines was built under budget in nearly 12 months.

As an Operations Leadership and Development Program (OLDP) member, I served as a Supplier Quality Management Engineer for the major Aeronautics programs (C-130, F-16, and F-35). In this role, I created and managed quality metrics for the Air Vehicle and Mission Systems (AVMS) team which included over 95 different suppliers and ensured that quality performance was met on all Lockheed Martin standards through meetings with Managers and Senior Managers. I also created and implemented a First Article Inspection (FAI) database for documentation storage for over 8,000 parts, yielding over $28,311 in annual savings and cut the total operation time in half. During this rotation, I also worked on a stretch assignment to reduce Hours per Unit (HPUs) for the C-130 by developing a Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA) for optical projection, yielding approximately 56 total hours per aircraft.

I created and implemented a new tracking tool for the program's Customer Furnished Equipment (CFE) to monitor when items are due at suppliers based on contractual need dates and is being utilized at the Senior Executive level. I led weekly Demand Management meetings with Senior Managers to identify any issues with hardware/contracts and that the appropriate resources are distributed. In my off-hours, I also served as a Thermal Engineer for the Testing Facilities where I have already tested and troubleshot flight-hardware that will be installed on the next satellite.

I led semi-weekly Action Item meetings with the team and the contractor to ensure that parts were meeting schedule, actions/issues were identified, and tasks had an efficient path for closure. I developed a Microsoft Excel VBA computer code that automatically generated and sent reminder emails for actionees that extracted their specific information for closure, saving hours of communication and logistics (still being utilized to date).
