An entrepreneur has to be a risk taker and in charge of the company losses and profits. With lots of responsibility and challenges, why do many people still start up their own business? As a person who choose this career path, I want to help the society by creating new and innovative products.During my high school, I participated in a business competition called “BEES”. In this competition, our team had to come up with a solution to minimize the wastes that were caused by the fashion industry. Our team goal was to create a platform for sustainable fashion companies to display their clothes and raise awareness for everyone to buy eco-friendly products. In charging of the team's financial data and the supply chain, I created the break-even analysis to see the requirement products we must sell to generate profit. Moreover, I ensured that all products from the supplier were eco-friendly products, meaning that the clothes are made from cotton or polyester recycled plastic. Being someone who placed importance on teamwork, I supported the team by providing constructive feedback and helped them research for ideas. Another way in which I added value to the team was by utilizing my strength in slide editing. I tried to create visually appealing slides while limiting the amount of text. Furthermore, I made sure that the transitions were eye-catching to the audiences. In the end, our team received third place in the competition. Not only do I utilize my skills in this competition but I also apply it to my daily life activities such as soccer, which is my all time favorite sport. I hope that after I start up my new business, I will be able to use these skills to serve the community.
