I have experience working with an Otolaryngologist, specializing in Sleep Surgery and Maxillofacial Surgery, and a Maxillofacial surgeon. I have assisted during in office procedures that included preparing our patient with pre and post operative protocols and the application of a local anesthetic. I have also scribed and effectively completed patients’ consultation notes and operative reports while distributing it to them and referring providers. I also have coordinated federal and state trainings for employees and ensured timely completion while maintaining proper documentation and record keeping. This included HIPAA, BLS for Healthcare Providers, Sexual Harassment Prevention, and OSHA training while also incorporating Sensitiviy training for patients with special needs. On a day to day basis, I ensured timely communication of emails and phone calls by responding to all within 24 hours of them being recieved. I also assessed medical scans to our institute’s protocol while also informing patients and other medical practices. In addition, I assisted with the appropriate translation from English to Spanish for Spanish speaking patients. I have also been trained with our Electronic Health Record System to upload patient information accurately, schedule appointments and maintain medical records. Through proper training, I maintained a clean work environment and followed proper sterilization protocol for tools and equipment used.

As Executive Board President and Operations Consultant, I developed the interview process and protocol for incoming new members and worked with Honors staff to understand how to accurately manage our financial accounts and develop funding proposals within UCLA’s protocol as treasurer. I have been managing all financial responsibilities of the club for the past two years. I also coordinated the led the first Annual LinkedIn Headshot Photoshoot for disadvantaged Honors students who would be unable to afford professional headshots otherwise. We have provided free professional photos to over 50 students during my time of presidency. I also ensured timely responses to student questions regarding Honors requirements while also developing weekly newsletters that included additional resources and changes within the Honors program.

I worked with my clinical research team to help provide shipment and transportation of biological substances. I learned how to use the electronic health record program to create and update patient files and charts for Institutional Review Board audits and review. I also ensured the highest quality preparation of laboratory materials and documentation and timely delivery to their assigned destination
