Ivan Rocabado MEng PhD is a senior consultant and project manager for middle to large multi-disciplinary and integral projects involving flood risk management, climate change adaptation, multi hazard risk mapping/management and disaster risk management for rivers, estuaries and coastal areas.Expert in numerical modeling specialized in hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, including surface and groundwater hydrology, sediment transport and morphology. He develops, implements and supervises the development of 1D, 2D and 3D numerical models including sediment transport and morphology processes. He develops, implements and supervises the development operational flood forecasting and warning systems (FFWS), decision support systems (DSS). He also has expertise in data acquisition systems, data management, GIS, Information Technologies and software development. Ivan is a Senior Project Manager with strong analytical skills; he is responsible for managing projects (technically, administratively and financially) and multidisciplinary teams composed by staff with different expertizes, backgrounds, cultures and locations.
