I have worked various small jobs before graduation such as a supermarket clerk, line chef and call center representative. In my time at Paysafe I started as a customer service rep but then changed positions to a Technical operations specialist where I deal with merchant-facing API's and new products and features for them. I first had to learn the daily business duties of the technical operations and integrations team. Where I had to first troubleshoot and answer various merchant queries, utilize monitoring resources such as alerts and dashboards as part of an on-call duty as well as help with initial questions and issues during integration. Once done I could then go into my role's duties which include testing, documenting and setting up alerts for new products while clarifying the product with its relevant owner/developers. This utilized various tools such as Confluence, Apiary, Splunk, PLSQL, Postman among others. I like work-related challenges and have a great time when understanding new products and piecing together how they work. I have also had multiple stressful situations where on-demand impact analysis was required and I have had to assist with outages of various severity during on call. I try and handle these as best I can with the understanding that the image of the company I work for can be impacted if mishandled. Finally I would say my biggest enjoyment in work is gaining sharing and documenting understanding of products with others as my position includes handovers to various teams in operations once our job is done.
