The business owner was one of my suppliers when I was in charge of the outfitting works for the SPH Mediaworks City Office. He had asked me to join him as a Project Manager and Consultant for the interior design and renovation works of commercial and residential spaces. Responsibilities involved acquiring key information about potential projects, understanding client needs and discussing requirements in detail with clients, site inspection and evaluation, space planning, setting project schedules, sourcing materials, design recommendation, setting budgets, negotiating project fees, and overseeing outfitting projects from beginning to end.

I was headhunted to set up the City Production Office and Studios from ground up (occupying more than 5,000 square feet space at Far East Square), given full autonomy on assigned budget and 3 months deadline to complete the set up.Thereafter I was seconded to run the City Office as the Business Development and Operations Manager where I created and implemented operating procedures within the Office and managed the daily running of administrative, budgetary, logistical and media production functions with a team of producers and executives.By end 2001, the company underwent restructuring and consolidated their businesses. Most of the employees, including myself, were let go.

Upon graduation, I joined one of the largest main construction firms in Singapore to put my technical and project management skills to good use. Building projects that I was involved in:- The New Woodlands Checkpoint project from June 1996 – April 1999, as a Site Engineer / Design Engineer- Design and Build Public Housing development N6C5 project from May 1999 – Nov 2000, where headed the Design Department as a Project Engineer
