Current• Assessed, planned, implemented, evaluated and documented nursing care to people with different acuity levels ranging from infants, children, pregnant women and elderly in a time restricted and demanding environment• Stabilized critically ill patients with cardiac arrests, strokes, multiple traumas, conscious sedations• Administered IV fluids and medications including antibiotics, blood products, TPN, narcotics, cardiac IV meds while carefully monitoring for side effects or any adverse reactions• Applied expertise in data analysis by monitoring laboratory results, blood work, urinalysis and effectively communicated changes with physicians and other healthcare professionals any changes in patient data and status to ensure optimum care was given to patients in a timely manner• Performed peripheral intravenous insertion, EKG application and interpretation, catheterizations, wound care, Wound V.A.C, dressing changes, colostomy care, enteral feedings, oxygen therapy, nebulizers, BIPAP, CPAP, tracheostomy suctioning and care, ventilation care, CADD pump, external defibrillator vest handling• Established rapport, build trust and provide compassion and support with patients and families experiencing pain, grief, stress and shock.
