• Monitor life safety systems (fire alarm systems, security doors, mechanical room machines and operations)• Meet with project managers and contractors concerning renovation and construction projects on campus • Monitor and address carpentry, plumbing, locksmithing, engineering, electrical, paint and housekeeping issues by attending weekly meetings with shop bosses, walking through each building daily and performing quality assurance checks on items that residents and staff may regularly use• Coordinate repair work between Residence Directors, students and respective trades• Submit work orders through FAMIS for malfunctioning items and monitor shop progress in repairs
