Hi, I'm James! Currently, I'm a Junior ILR Student at Cornell University, where I independently provide tutoring services on courses such as microeconomics and labor economics. My academic coursework largely focuses on economics and American law, including such areas as employment, collective bargaining, technology, information, antitrust, and disability. At school, I've also picked up a large contingent of digital competencies including code-driven data science and mastery of the Microsoft Suite of products (including an Excel certification which never ceases to be ever useful in my professional endeavors)! In my free time, I keep in touch with my local community, usually in community advocacy projects such as my volunteer efforts done in conjunction with the Young Researchers Program, a natural follow-up to community projects I led back in my hometown during high school. My strongest belief is that the world relies on kindness, grit, and communication and that improvement is always something worth striving for.
