I worked as part of a team developing Android-based Nemo Wireless Network Solutions. This toolset is used for measuring diagnostics information of air interface as well as quality-of-service (QoS) and quality-of-experience (QoE) of various mobile applications.My daily work consisted mostly of implementing the new, and maintaining the current, application test protocols including (but not limited to):- Social media services, like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram- YouTube video streaming and video stream quality measurement using Opticom PEVQ-S and Huawei U-vMOS- Traditional file transfer protocols, like HTTP(S) and (S)FTPThese application tests are usually implemented using third party APIs and the official Android API.One of my and my team's most important tasks were to ensure that our products are among the first ones to fully support new handsets when they are released. Because of this, I needed to be aware of not only the latest quirks of the newest versions of Android, but also the differences between the device manufacturers and model variants.This job also enabled me to become more familiar with how the Android OS works beneath the Java API, and especially how the OS is interfacing with the wireless communication channel.

At Hexagon PPM (formerly Nestix Oy) my duties included implementing customer specific features into Nestix systems mainly as SQL procedures, installations, updates, maintenance and configuration of customers' systems. I also participated production system go-lives and gave on-site support at customers' sites worldwide.

Subject of my master's thesis was ”Programming of Printed Electronics Print Line Camera”. As my thesis, I single-handedly implemented a software for automated optical inspection of printed electronics print quality.The software was a Windows desktop application written in C++, using OpenCV and MFC. The software also controlled the illumination and adjusting and triggering the camera system via an Ethernet connection.My thesis is publicly available online at http://bit.ly/2yDp8SN in Finnish.

At Hexagon PPM (formerly Nestix Oy) I worked as a part of a software testing team testing Nestix system and application products.I also did customer support via a ticket system and by answering the telephone hotline. Later on, I also assumed some project engineering tasks such as system installations and tailoring.
