Purchasing And Supply Analyst
Current• Support Logistics Manager in all phases of the day-to-day operation including planning of purchase orders for new and existing tooling.• Monitor purchasing capacity constraints of agency orders and track all relative trends.• Maintain reports relevant to the purchasing of tooling including weekly and monthly safety stock levels, purchasing trends, and overall customer service levels.• Lead daily market unit conversion calls with warehousing, commercial, supply, and sales teams.• Secure outside coverage for loads and quality inspection of steel coils in warehouses.• Develop, implement, and lead commodity strategies and cross-functional projects.• Implement productivity and service improvement initiatives across all spend.• Drive saving opportunities and effectively manage suppliers to maintain the highest standards for quality and delivery as well as maintain and implement purchasing and recordkeeping systems.• Collaborates with other departments and leadership to identify and develop needs and requirements for equipment, materials, products, and acceptable substitutions.• Assesses current material availability; reasonably predicts future availability based on the market, delivery systems, and other variables.• Prepares and presents market conditions to ensure maintenance of competitiveness.• Drafts, explains, and implements instructions, policies, and procedures for purchasing and contract management.• Manage third party strategic contracts and supplier relationships.• Utilizes contracts, best practices, spend analysis and supplier management techniques to manage cost and risk and resolve grievances with vendors, contractors, and suppliers.
