I have been passionate and believed in the Human-Animal Bond since I trained my first dog at the age of 12. I was Director of the UCLA People-Animal Connection (PAC) from the year 2000 until I moved to Oregon in 2012 and have lectured and helped numerous hospitals on the West Coast of the US and some in the Midwest develop Therapy Dog programs of their own. Over the years I have helped write policies for many starting programs in hospitals and rehab facilities and also have written Service Dog Policies for UCLA and St. Charles Hospital in Bend, OR.I have been involved with Pet Partners (Delta Society) since 1996 and am a licensed Pet Partner Team Evaluator, Pet Partner Classroom Instructor, and Pet Partner with (4) different dogs. In Bend Oregon, I taught classes at Central Oregon Community College and The Humane Society of Central Oregon.Currently, I work with clients in North Carolina where I live with my wife Kathy and our two wonderful white English Labrador Retrievers (Annie, 13 yrs. and Duke, 1 yr.) I have traveled many times back to the West Coast to work with clients and their dogs on a one-on-one basis.
