I worked in the Capital Markets and Private Funds team, assisting solicitors in Clifford Chance’s London, Madrid, Amsterdam and New York offices on a wide range of projects. At Clifford Chance I became experienced in collaborating remotely on projects and in using innovative legal technology, both of which will serve me well as the legal world adapts to the challenges posed by COVID-19. My work at Clifford Chance included:• Due diligence and drafting work on major IPOs, including those of the DWF Group and Network International;• Preparation of listing prospectuses, public placement memoranda and transactional documents for various Private Equity houses;• Regulatory compliance work for debt issuances by European banks, international property companies, and oil and gas suppliers;• Drafting and reviewing prospectuses for sovereign bond issuances by a number of European and African countries;• Creating drafting resources to help improve team efficiency as part of best delivery;• Legal research, including assisting with Clifford Chance’s pro bono project on behalf of the UN Special Rapporteur concerning the right to a healthy environment.
