I currently act as Co-Founder and Health, Safety and Quality consultant for iSAFE. In this role I act as a competent point of contact for businesses which do not have full time safety representation, fulfilling the businesses duty to section 7 of the management of health and safety at work regulations 1999. As part of this I develop and maintain management systems of varying levels to suit the businesses requirements, whether that means simply meeting legal requirement or obtain accreditations such as CHAS, Safecontractor or OHSAS 18001:2008. I worked as Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) Manager for a large corrugated packaging manufacturer. My role involved the maintenance, improvement and implementation of the sites SHE management systems. Cepac as group consisted of 5 business units each of which had a different Health and Safety Management system. As a result of this part of my role consisted of working with the Health and Safety Managers from other sites to develop a management system which covered the whole group.

I started working for Beck and Pollitzer as a summer intern providing Health and Safety Management for a large project in the North West. Following completion of that project, I was offered a full time position upon graduation to provide group level support across the UK and 12 business units across Europe and Asia. As part of this role I: • Developed, maintained and implemented accredited Health and Safety and Quality Management system which comply with legal requirements and OHSAS 18001 and ISO 9001 standards. • Supported external audits by UKAS accrediting bodies including Bureau Veritas, Achilles UVDB • Developed and implemented strategies to communicate policies and procedures designed to promote safe working practices on sites. • Site H&S Management of multi-national workforce • Direct consultation and communication with the workforce • Behavioural Safety: Development and implementation of strategies to promote a positive safety culture. • Site H&S surveillance and reporting to ensure policies and procedures are being applied and are effective • Advised managers on development of Risk Assessments and Method Statements for general and high risk activities. • Collate data and produce regular reports for internal and external stakeholders. • Developed and implemented reporting tools to identify trends and assist in developing strategies to address key issues • Work on a consultancy basis for clients of Beck and Pollitzer, both in the UK and EU, Giving them information and advice on current regulation such as CDM 2015. • Managed Health and Safety on projects for blue chip clients across a number of sectors including Jaguar Landrover, 3M, DHL and Kimberly Clark. • Attained Health and Safety awards from both the British Safety Council and RoSPA for my current employer
