As a financial analyst intern, I worked for Amazon's worldwide Retail Systems and Services finance team in their corporate offices in Seattle, Washington. My weekly responsibilities included producing the Retail Systems and Services weekly business review for the weekly business review meeting. This report gave retail team leaders a comprehensive look at Amazon's online retail business, highlighting areas of operational growth and revealing inefficiencies. On a larger scale, my project was to overhaul the weekly business review process so that the production of the document was automated, uniformly formatted across strategic business teams, and communicated effectively across all teams involved in the process. At the conclusion of the project, we were able to improve the WBR production process by over 80 percent. While at Amazon, I also used SQL and Cognos TM1 to access relevant data from Amazon's database in order to produce weekly reports. I then used Excel to organize the data into organized reports, which were presented to management on a regular basis.
