As one of the earliest contributors to FoodCLUB, a student-led startup voted #1 on the NatWest Accelerator program, I played a pivotal role in the initial development of their AI-powered social media platform focused around food. In my capacity as CTO, I oversaw a team of around 30 employees, applying the skills I'd gained during my software development placement. I worked closely with the backend system team, where I configured and developed key infrastructure solutions, including setting up the main CI/CD pipeline for the backend API by integrating GitHub with various AWS services. Additionally, I designed and built an internal JavaScript package to simplify database request building for Amazon's DynamoDB and created authentication, authorisation, and logging middleware, essential for maintaining system security and debugging.

Pinewood Technologies is a leading provider of Dealer Management Systems (DMS) for automotive dealerships worldwide. During my placement, I was part of the Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) team, where I was responsible for creating software integrations between Pinewood’s DMS and automotive manufacturers’ systems. I led and contributed to various projects, including developing a parts inventory reporting integration for Ford and a CRM synchronisation solution for Porsche. These integrations were critical for maintaining strong relationships with manufacturers, facilitating their development of technological business solutions key to improving their operations and achieving their business goals. This role honed my practical skills in C#, SQL, and collaborative problem-solving, whilst giving me essential experience in delivering impactful software solutions in a team-oriented environment.
