Having studied Engineering Systems & Renewable Energy at Dundee & Angus College, I somehow ended up in agriculture, working for a large seed potato grower. After a few years had past, an opportunity came up to work within the vertical farming industry with IGS. Starting with IGS in August 2021, in a farm technician role, i becoming very familiar with our vertical farm system fairly quickly. This allowed me to move into an operations supervisor role, 6 months after starting. Knowing and understanding our system has allowed me become and on-site “tour guide” for groups that are interested in the IGS vertical farm. This has also allowed me to help with a lot of the training for our newest customers, when they’re towers go live.
